We've released a new setting for items called "Membership Restrictions". This setting allows you to restrict access to a portfolio item based on the viewing member's paid membership. The Membership Restriction of an item can be only as high as the item owner's paid membership level. For example, Basic Members can only restrict items to other Basic Members and above... Upgraded Members can restrict to both Basic and Upgraded, etc. (Naturally, by restricting an item to a paid members, you are excluding non-logged in visitors to the site as well.) * Note: Because Free members may not restrict access based on paid membership, the Membership Restriction option will not be shown to members with a free membership. As with other restriction settings, setting up a Passkey will allow you to give other the ability to view the item even if they do not meet the paid membership restriction you've set. This is the initial beta release of this new feature and any bugs should be reported in "Bug Reporting" ![]() ![]() ~~SM |
Greets, We've updated the item listing pages with 3 new formats. The Square format lists 3 items on a row, with basic information about each item. Mousing over the item opens more details. On the "Images" item listing, this format shows a thumbnail of the image... and on the "Photo Albums" item listing, the square format shows a thumbnail of the most recently added photo. The List format shows one item per row with just the basic information. Mousing over the item opens more details. The Details format is most like our original listings. It shows one item per row with all of that item's detailed information. The new default listing format is the Square type. You can change your default listing format by clicking the format of your choosing next to the "Display Types" text found above the listing area. ~~SM |
If you're keeping your Nano work on Writing.Com, you can now add it to your NanoCounter. A link to your NanoItem will show up right beneath your word count. In addition, your NanoItem will be linked with your spot on the Nano'er List! (And fear not... If your Nano Item is private, no one will be able to access it -- the link on the list is just like any other and will point the visitor to an "access restricted" page.) ~~SM |
We've added two new Merit Badges to the Merit Badge Shop! Nano Participant and Nano Winner The Merit Badge shop can be found in the Gift Point Tools Site Navigation menu... Enjoy! ![]() ~~SM |
As an add on to "NanoCounter!" ![]() Those without their NanoCounter activated can view the nano'er listing here: http://www.writing.com/main/authors/action/nano Members must have more than 1 word to show on the list. ![]() [Edit: The list now shows the words written, words left to write and percent complete for each Nano'er.] ~~SM |
Keep track of your Nano word count right where you can see it... in the left hand column of your WDC pages. You can only activate your NanoCounter using this link here to set the word count to 1 word. http://www.writing.com/main/my_account/action/update_nano/nanocnt/1 Once activated, you can click the count to update it at any time! When you're done with Nano, to make the count go away, set the count to 0! ~~SM |
